How did you first become interested in your line of business? (if owner) - What is your background? (If owner or store manager)
Originally from the Chicago area, I acquired a love for Florida in my early teens and moved to the Tampa Bay area in 1980 to attend HCC. I later moved to NJ where he met his wife, Lisa, and owned and operated a highly successful business that focused on customer service. I have three wonderful children, Danielle (in NJ), Lee and Sierra, and two dogs, Kobie and Mitzie. I have always respected the natural environment and enjoys hiking, camping, fishing, boating, and of course, strolling our beautiful Florida beaches.
I have been in the service industry for most of my life. After finishing my environmental education and inspection training, I founded Detailed Inspection Services in 2001, performing residential and commercial environmental and structural inspections for property buyers and concerned owners. I am a Florida State Licensed Mold Assessor and Home Inspector. With over 30 of years of construction/ inspection experience, and having inspected thousands of properties, I have found mold to be a major issue in today’s indoor environment, particularly in Florida. In 2014, Dan decided to specialize in indoor environmental issues, primarily mold, because of its negative effects on human health (ExpertMoldTest.com). My philosophy has always been to develop his company by providing his clients with the very best in customer service and satisfaction. This is always my top priority. How It Works
The inspector will evaluate the attic, the plumbing, heating, and electrical systems, chimneys, fireplaces, stairs, windows, decks, walls, ceiling, and all other components of the property. If you want to be present, you will be given a detailed explanation of all the findings. A typical inspection will take around 3 hours or more, depending on the property.
How many locations do you have and do you have plans to expand?
I work out of the Pinellas County and cover the state of Florida. I do not have any plans to open additional locations or to hire additional inspectors. I do all of the inspections and write all of the reports, this way I can control the customer service.
